Khaya anthotheca
African Mahogany
Large timber tree to over 100′ in the wild but about 60′ in cultivation. Trunk massive, buttressed, with rough, knobbly bark. Inconspicuous white flowers are attractive to bees.
Timber less valuable but easier to work that other mahogany species.
Generally most suitable for large spaces like parks or college campuses.
