Endemic to the rain forest of the Comoro Islands, NW of Madagascar, this beautiful clustering palm grows to a height of 20 feet. The stem is an olive green except on its oldest parts with widely spaced dark rings of leaf base scars and its crownshaft is a light silvery-white. Formerly Dypsis lanceolata.
