This is a cold-hardy, rare, endangered species from higher elevations in the mountains of NE Queensland, Australia. It grows to about 50 feet with a diameter of 9-10 inches. Its stem supports a bluish crownshaft and leaves with pendant leaflets. It is said to be very rare in nature and resembles a smaller version of the more common, Archontophoenix cunninghamiana.
