Vigorous woody flowering vine to 30’+. Leaves oval, to 10″ long, rough and sandpapery; flowers small, purple to white, short-lived on more persistent purple (or sometimes white)
calyces on long weeping inflorescences. Excellent for hiding chain-link fences.
