Coccothrinax argentata

This palmate palm is a native South Florida and the Bahamas. Trunk may grow up to 20 ft with a 5 inch diameter. Leaves are glossy dark green above and silvery beneath with slender leaf segments. It has 1/2 inch black fruits born on 2 ft long branched inflorescences. It prefers full sun, limestone soils, but is not partial to soil type, is drought tolerant and immune to saline conditions – a perfect seashore palm.
