Large spiky flowering tree to 100+’. Foliage palmately compound with 5 leaflets. Flowers showy, ivory to light pink, with 5 narrow, curly petals and long, pink stamens.
Pods open to reveal seeds surrounded by tan fluff once widely used as stuffing (before the advent of synthetic fibers).
