Solitairy fan palm to 60′. Trunk grayish, ringed, often covered on old leaf bases when young. Leaves to 5′ in diameter, costapalmate, with weeping tips; leaf bases edged with
thick spines resembling bulls’ horns. Fruit to 3/4″ diameter, matte blue in color. Adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions.
