Pseudophoenix sargentii

A coastal palm native to the Caribbean islands, SE Mexico and South Florida. It is found growing on limestone or dune sands, and is tolerant of dry conditions, once established. It bears green-blue leaves and has bright red fruits when mature. This palm is salt-tolerant and can withstand hurricanes, but is known to have a slow growth rate.
