This tree is known as the skunk tree or wild almond, named after the smell of the flowers once they fall. The branches are arranged in whorls and grow laterally. This tree when given enough time can grow significantly large and should be given adequate space. It produces bright red seed pods that eventually split, releasing their seeds.
