This clustering palm is endemic to eastern Papua New Guinea. Leaves have narrow linear leaflets (thus the name) with jagged tips that are pinnately arranged. It grows to 50 ft with 2-3 inch stems and 2 foot crownshafts. Its black fruits contrast with the reddish orange color of its infructescence branches.
