Pritchardia pacifica

This easy to grow fan palm is the most commonly grown Pritchardia, but its origin remains a mystery (Solomon Islands?). It escapes and naturalizes very easily. Nevertheless it is a beautiful fan palm that grows to 45 ft with a 12 inch diameter. Each stiff light to dark green leaf blade is 3-6 feet wide with stout petioles. Inflorescences are 2-3 feet long and amply branched.
