Solitairy feather leaf palm to 30′. Trunk light-brown (green further up), ringed, crownshaft poorly formed; foliage fine, slightly plumose, with up to 100 leaflets;
flowers small, whitish, born on few-branched inflorescences to 3′ long; fruit kidney-shaped, dark orange, with slightly irritant flesh.
