Floweing tree to 30’+. Foliage palmatelycompound, glossy green, with 5-10 leaflets to 1′ long; flowers small, reddish-brown, funky-smelling, held in 1′ long panicles;
fruit a 4″ pod that splits open vertically to reveal numerous 1″ long blue-black seeds, supposedly edible when roasted.
