Erythrina madagascariensis: Native to Madagascar, this deciduous tree has broad shaped leaves, and bright red, tubular shaped flowers, which can attract hummingbirds. Even without its leaves, this beautiful tree is accentuated by its thorns, found across the tree, and its large seed pods. When ripe, the seed pods will burst open, displaying beautiful red and black seeds. It can withstand full sun conditions, and can be suited for xeriscaping. Note: seeds are toxic to humans and pets.
